Karen Millen Press Day 20/04/2016 – Posted in: Events, Fashion Styling

When I got the invite through for the Aw16 Karen Millen Press Day, of course I had to first check my diary to see if I had time! (KIDDING) I was so pleased to be able to attend this event and headed straight to the location; which happened to be a Edwardian house located in White City. Once I had arrived I was guided upstairs (serious décor goals) and taken into a room where live models where seated/standing showcasing the upcoming collection. The collection was really amazing; focusing on textures such as ostrich, animal print and suede. The colours featured were tan, cream, black and orange; creating a real autumn feel! My favourite piece was a tan faux fur coat, I could just imagine myself wearing this in the wintery nights of December!

Downstairs in various other rooms was the collection but displayed on rails and sitting areas. The clothing rails were brimming with trend such as burgundy, midnight sparkle, animal print and Athleisure, the numerous outfits were fab and really embodied the brand whilst incorporating a nod to the autumn/winter trends.

My favourite part of the press day was the accessories room, the layout was a cosy, fire lit living area with fur throws and modern seating arrangements. This area was luxurious and made me wish I lived here!! Accessories seen in the Karen Millen collection were handbags and shoes; the trends featured within them were animal skin/print, embellishment, burgundy and suede. My favourite piece was the leopard print fold over clutch, which was very heavily, textured creating a very expensive look; which of course I loved!! The few jewellery pieces that were displayed were very man-made and structured, with cuffs being the forefront of the small collection.

I had a great day at the Karen Millen Press Day, the collection was divine and the location was just amazing…..defiantly got me craving to move house!
